This view was taken from a bridge that used to span the river at the northern end of Jalan Pancoran. We are looking in a north-westerly direction towards the Pintu Kecil district. The river along jalan pancoran was filled in around the turn of the 20th century, and the bridge was demolished.
On the left-hand side of this view ,we can see the bridge at the eastern end of Jalan Toko Tiga . behind it, the houses at the southern end of Jalan Pintu Kecil are visible. On the right,where the houses atand on the edge of the river, the multi storey Pasar Pagi market and car park are now situated.
